Laura Spencer Garth is a three-time General Counsel and the founder of LSG Legal. With nearly 20 years of experience, she helps clients by turning legal complexity into practical, business-driven solutions. She works side-by-side with her clients, structuring advice around commercial and operational risk, and stepping in decisively when needed. Laura builds legal and compliance functions that scale, supporting companies from early-stage through commercialization, financing, and exit.
With a background in MedTech, she has served as corporate secretary, overseen the legal and HR functions, and implemented operational compliance programs from the ground up. Her broad corporate experience includes oversight of programs and initiatives for FDA regulatory issues, healthcare fraud and abuse (AKS/Stark Law), HIPAA/GDPR and data privacy, corporate governance, contract negotiation and life cycle management, codes of ethics, consumer fraud & protection, executive advising, and strategic growth initiatives across state, federal, and global regimes. Laura has served as the sole legal executive for both venture-backed startups and publicly traded companies, working closely with founders, CEOs, and Boards on critical strategic decisions that shape growth and minimize risk.
Laura began her career as a corporate litigator in the Commercial Litigation and Labor & Employment client service groups at Bryan Cave LLP. She represented Fortune 100 companies in complex commercial disputes, requests for expedited injunctive relief, and high-stakes employment matters, handling cases from initial pleadings through all stages of discovery and trial. Laura has also worked on the plaintiff’s side, trying individual cases and class actions in both state and federal court and before administrative hearing commissions.

Served as novel diagnostic’s company’s first C-Suite legal executive to create, implement, and manage compliance programs, strategies, and commercial contracting processes prior to and immediately following 510(k) clearance and commercial launch of its first diagnostic instrument, related consumable devices, and artificial intelligence (AI) driven solutions indicated for use in the Emergency Room for the early detection of sepsis and acute infection. - General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, Stereotaxis, Inc. (NYSE:STXS)
Served as publicly traded (NYSE American) magnetic robotic navigation company’s C-Suite legal executive, Corporate Secretary, Data Privacy Officer, sole in-house counsel, and functional legal and compliance leader for its commercial sale of surgical endovascular robotic technologies and related SaaS services in United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia, including through Company’s first acquisition of electrophysiology catheter company Access Point Technologies EP. - General Counsel & Director of Human Resources, Veran Medical Technologies, Inc.
Served as the first and only C-Suite in-house executive to venture-capital backed electromagnetic navigational bronchoscopy start-up by establishing and overseeing all legal, HR, and compliance functions over the design, manufacture, and commercialization of capital equipment, disposables, and SaaS products. During her tenure, Laura supported the company’s 300 percent revenue growth and 150 percent headcount growth through its acquisition by Olympus Corporation in December 2020 for $340 million (then in the top 92% of enterprise value-to-revenue multiples for medical device acquisitions since 1995). - Senior Associate, Dolley Law, LLC

Laura also litigated various pro bono matters on behalf of indigent clients, including domestic violence victims in protective order hearings, low-income and migrant children in guardian ad litem proceedings, tenants in unlawful eviction cases, and wrongly incarcerated inmates in appeals through the Innocence Project.
